NEWTON (CBS) – Eleven students were hurt when a school bus crashed on Route 9 in Newton Tuesday morning, according to state police.
It happened in the westbound lanes around 7:30 a.m. near Woodcliff Road.

Police said the bus rear ended a vehicle stopped at a traffic light which in turn rear ended another vehicle stopped at the light.
State Police said about 34 junior high school students and the bus driver were on board and all were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The 11 injuries are said to be minor
The children are middle school Metco students attending both the Diamond and Clarke schools in Lexington.
