Paulinians not moved by rain; First Grand School Opening held

Despite the rain, the Grand School Opening themed “SPU Manila on the Move!” pushed through on 13 June 2012.

This event “formally [welcomes] all Paulinian students as well as faculty and staff to the new school year,” as stated by Ms. Maribel Corcolla. According to the Student Affairs Office (SAO), this event is being held for the first time in the 100 years of SPU Manila. In previous year, upperclassmen went straight to their classes while the freshmen attended their orientation on the first day of classes.

The grand opening was to be held in the quadrangle but was immediately moved to the Fleur-de-lis Theater due to bad weather. The theater was filled to capacity.
