DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS (KTVI)- It was a rare chance to catch a music legend in St. Louis. Carlos Santana performed at Variety’s “Dinner With The Stars” gala at the Peabody Opera House Saturday night. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and winner of 10 GRAMMY Awards is #15 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Guitarists.
Mr. Santana said of the event, “It’s a joy to be of service…to serve young people who deserve all of us in our generation to be present for them.”
Santana is quick to point out that he doesn’t equate himself with being a musician, but rather a man of service to people around the world, especially children.
