CHICAGO (STMW) — One person was killed and at least 14 people — including a 15-year-old boy — were hurt in shootings across Chicago since Friday evening, authorities said.
One man was killed and another person was hurt in a shooting in the West Town neighborhood Sunday morning, authorities said.
The shooting happened at 6:04 a.m. near Division Street and Campbell Avenue, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
A 36-year-old man was killed in the shooting and was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The man’s identity was withheld pending notification of family.
Fire Media Affairs said a second person was wounded in the shooting and that both people shot were taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
